Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCO)

Graduate Program in Computer Science at the Federal University of Uberlândia (PPGCO-UFU) was created in March 2001 to address the regional demand for quality academic education, with the purpose of developing researchers, professors, and highly qualified professionals to work in universities, research centers, and companies involved in new technology.

Currently, the PPGCO offers the following courses (stricto sensu):

• Master in Computer Science, since 2001;
• PhD in Computer Science, since 2012.

The PPGCO with concept 5 by CAPES develops research activities grouped into four areas of concentration:

• Data Science;
• Software Engineering;
• Artificial Intelligence;
• Computer Systems.

The innovation and relevance of its research results are reflected in the growing number of publications in high impact journals, in the registration of patents and the establishment of several agreements of academic and scientific cooperation with several national and international research institutions.
